Global, Inc. performed an indoor air quality (IAQ) assessment at the Headquarters Building of the DC Promise Neighborhood initiative (DCPNI), a non-profit entity based in Washington, DC. Global’s Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) performed a walkthrough survey of the three-story office building, inspected the HVAC system, and interviewed occupants to document any specific indoor environmental concerns related to their office spaces. Based on the information gathered, the CIH determined specific IAQ parameters to be measured and evaluated against established standards and guidelines for indoor air quality.

We inspected 30 office spaces and measured comfort parameters (i.e., Indoor Temperature, Relative Humidity, Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide) and respirable particulates using direct reading instruments, and collected air samples for mold spore analysis. Based on the observations and measurements of IAQ parameters, Global’s CIH recommended suitable corrective actions to address the recognized indoor air quality concerns.
